Alan Murray

Alan has more than 25 years of experience in heavy industry, specialising in offshore and international oil and gas exploration and production operations, project leadership and HSE management systems.

He spent the early years of his career in the power generation and automotive industries, before joining Talisman Energy in 2003.

During his subsequent 12-year career with Talisman he gained significant international experience as vice president and general manager in Peru, and in Calgary, where he was vice president HSE for the company’s North American operations.

In the UK he held a number of operational leadership roles, including vice president of Talisman’s central business area, where he managed five offshore assets, 15 oil fields, a combined onshore/offshore team of 600, and had oversight of three major development projects. Prior to joining Kellas Midstream, he was asset manager for the Greater Fulmar Area.

Alan is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
